Celebrate Havana's 500th birthday with the magic of Cuban art and music. You'll enjoy incredible music, ballet, artists and more on this People-to-People interactive journey. 

DAY 1, November 14th:
•  Arrive Havana, Cuba!
•  Welcome Cocktail Party with live Cuban Flamenco musician.  

•  Dinner at a local paladar. 
•  Lodging in Havana Vieja. 
•  Interact with Cubans as you visit live music shows of Jazz, Son, Timba.


DAY 2, November 15th:
• Breakfast at hotel 
• Walking guided tour of Havana Vieja. Visit historic plazas and enjoy conversations with the locals. 
• Visit Partagas cigar factory. 
• Home visit with top Cuban Musicians led by Roberto Carcassés, Piano, with Trumpet, Bass and Drums • Exchange ideas about Contemporary Cuban music.
• For night owls -  Interactivo at Bertolt Brecht Theater. One of the best live shows in town and maybe jam with the local musicians.


DAY 3, November 16th: - Happy Birthday Havana!
• Breakfast at hotel 
• Birthday Celebrations! Free time to explore and chat with Cubans
• Afternoon - Museo Bellas Artes tour with our guide Cuba’s premier modern art museum. 
• Cuban Artist studio visit, Gustavo del Valle 
• Fustalandia (Gaudi-like fantasy folk area) 
• Possible live Cuban music concert or local exchange with area musicians. 


DAY 4, November 17th:

• Breakfast at hotel.

• Drive to Matanzas for a musical exchange with very talented Cubans.

• Visit Los Muñequitos de Matanzas as they perform in their loft. They are the most respected and talented folkloric ensembles in Cuba.

• Evening musical exchange in Vedado.


DAY 5, November 18th:

• Breakfast at hotel

• Painter’s building in Habana Vieja. Private workshop- Zaida del Rio, Ernesto Rancano, Carlos Guzman, Roberto Fabelo.

• Dinner at La Fontana Restaurant. One of the most romantic restaurants in Havana.

• Night. Live music everywhere. Time to explore, meet the musicians, share your style, dance!


DAY 6, November 19th:

• Breakfast at Hotel

• Drive through Art Deco neighborhood off 5th Ave.

• Afternoon - Brass class at Scorpion Recording Studios

• Early Afternoon - Callejón de Hamel– rhumba dance with instructor.

• Night – Fabrica del Arte club – art space, concert hall, night club and interaction with Cubans


DAY 7, November 20th:

• Breakfast at Hotel

• Free day to explore, rest, play music, chat with the Cubans.

• Night- National Ballet -Alicia Alonzo Theater, Havana Central

• Late night drink at Espacio in Miramar

DAY 8, November 21st:

• Breakfast at hotel

• Depart for Jose Marti Airport for flight home.

Cost: $2499 per person/double occupancy.

Included in your tour cost:

•  Airport transfers: We meet you at José Martí Int'l Airport in Havana and take you to your lodging upon arrival. We return you to José Martí Airport for departure.

•  All breakfasts and welcome dinner. Other lunches and dinners as listed in tour itinerary.

•  All activities, services, speakers, meetings and meals as described in tour itinerary except those noted as "optional" or "not included in cost."

•  Air-conditioned transportation and a full-time driver.

•  Mandatory Cuban medical insurance coverage during your island stay.

Not included in your tour cost:

•  International airfare to and from Cuba. We work with several charter companies to book flights. There are also several commercial flights available to Havana. EAC Tours will assist with coordination for the best flights.

•  Cuba Tourist Visa

•  Gratuities for Cuban tour guide, bus driver, chambermaids, restaurant staff, porters, etc. Please inquire about recommended gratuities guidelines.

•  Optional travel interruption and cancellation insurance with USI Affinity.



*What changes did the current administration enact related to Cuba travel?

The current administration cancelled the popular individual self-directed general license category of people-to-people travel that was part of Obama's administration.

Fortunately, they did not cancel people-to-people travel sponsored by authorized US tour operators. Americans can visit Cuba with family or friends on private or public tours if arranged by an authorized US-based tour operator and employs a representative of an authorized US-based tour operator to accompany the group for the duration of the tour.
