Catch Some Waves Baby...

Experience world class surfing with professional Cuban surfing guides on this 8 day/7 night tour.

View the itinerary below.

DAY 1:
Arrive Miami. Check in at Miami International Airport Hotel.

DAY 2:
Rendezvous at Havana Air terminal for flight to Santiago de Cuba.

You must have your passport, Cuba Tourist Visa, Cuba Medical Insurance. You are responsible for the cost of checking surf board(s).

Arrive Santiago de Cuba and meet with our guide and van driver. Transfer to our casa(s) for staff introductions and itinerary overview.

Meet our surfing guide, Yuniel Valdarrama who is president of Surfistas Cubano. Yuniel will speak about the current surf conditions and where would be best locations if a tropical low in the Atlantic happens. Also the best options if the low moves into the Caribbean or goes up the Atlantic coast.

DAYS 3-5:
Depending on the ocean conditions, Yuniel will advise on the best location for the day. If best conditions are moving up from South America and swinging up the Atlantic coast, we’ll drive to Holguin (about a 2-hour drive) and head out to the Guadalavaca coast as there are numerous breaks.

Note: If the conditions are better for the northern region, we may rent casa(s) in Holguin or Baracoa instead of Santiago de Cuba.

On other days, drive to the town of Moa and later arrive in Baracoa.  Yumuri knows all the special breaks in the area. Also, friends from Havana have been here and know the place well.

According to Bob Samin and Yumuri, it’s best to surf this coast as the low approaches as the swell fades fast as it moves away.         If the low looks like it will move into the Caribbean, options are to drive from Santiago straight to Baracoa via Guantanamo. Cross “La Farrola” mountain range and be in Baracoa in about 4-hours. As the storm passes the tip of Punta del Maisi, surf Baracoa then back track over the range for numerous breaks all the way back to Santiago.

DAYS 6-7:

Morning flight to Havana. Enjoy a walking tour of Habana Vieja and a visit to the Museum of the Revolution. Tonight visit the famous Tropicana Cabaret.

Day 7 morning, our Cuban friends will join the group and direct us to “Calle 70” surf breaks. (Days 6 and 7 can be switched for best surf conditions)

DAY 8:

Transfer to Jose Marti Airport for flights to Miami.
